Neck and back pain come in all shapes and sizes and are very common conditions seen in people from all ages and lifestyles. Often people get better on their own when they have a singular episode of neck or back pain. There are times, however, where further help is needed. It is important to seek care sooner than later in order for treatment to be most effective. The earlier someone is able to be treated, the quicker they are able to recover from their pain and have a smaller chance of experiencing symptoms in the future. Physical therapy for neck and back pain is best performed when it is individualized to the person and often includes methods such as massage, joint mobilizations, stretching, and strengthening exercises.
