Extremity pain? What is that? Extremity pain is any kind of pain in the upper or lower extremity, or limb. The upper extremity “starts” at the shoulder joint, and the lower extremity “starts” at the hip joint. There is definitely overlap where the core and contribute to the problem, and vice versa. Extremity pain has all sorts of causes ranging from sports injuries and overuse, to postural and sedentary effects. Knowing and understanding the nature and cause of the pain is of utmost importance allowing them to have longer lasting results—just treating the symptoms will feel better, but may not last.
